Church Music


  • Old St. Patrick's Church (2017-present) Chicago, IL. Associate Director of Music. Co-direction of all liturgical music and events throughout the liturgical year.
  • St. Thomas the Apostle (2016-2017) Naperville, IL. Co-director of Voice of Faith, St. Thomas's 65 voiced choir. VOF provides musical leadership at all main church events and liturgies, including regular Sundays, Christmas and Holy Week.
  • Catholic Theological Union (CTU) (2005-present) Liturgical music coordinator and music director for The Bernardin Center; Sheila McLaughlin, Director. Works with Sundays at CTU, Peacebuilders Initiative, Catholics on Call, Catholic Common Ground Initiative, NRVC and other special liturgies and events throughout the academic year.
  • Old St. Patrick's Catholic Church (2012-2014) Chicago, IL. Named Director of Worship Music in June of 2013. Coordinated, directed and oversaw six liturgical choirs including choirs for children and teens. Directed and coordinated all church cantors and instrumentalists. Musician and music coordinator for all church weddings and funerals. Full-time member of church staff and Liturgy/Faith Formation teams.
  • St. Raymond De Penafort Catholic Church (1996-2012) Mt. Prospect, IL. Served as full-time Director of Music. Developed program that included coordinating and directing two adult choirs, children's choirs (Cherub Choir, Children's Choir, Junior High Youth Ensemble, High School Ensemble), handbell choir, cantors and instrumentalists. Member of core parish staff and music resource person for all ministries. Developed and instituted Wedding Music Workshops. Group planning sessions for newly engaged couples. Introduced parish to Taizé Prayer leading and planning Taizé prayer services throughout the liturgical year.
  • Music Ministry Alive! (Summer 2001) Team member; Summer music ministry institute for teens and young adults directed and founded by David Haas. Responsible for leading and teaching the flute/woodwind track.
  • St. Mary's Catholic Church (1993-1996) Buffalo Grove, IL Served as Assistant Music Director from April of 1993 to August of 1996. Duties included accompanying two Sunday liturgies, accompanist for Parish Choir, accompanist for special services and liturgies, assisted with Handbell Choir, assisted with cantor program, and assisted music director with administrative duties.
  • St. Viator High School (Fall 1995- 2000) Arlington Heights, IL Liturgical Music Coordinator for Sunday evening liturgies and special school liturgies for students.
  • AIDS Pastoral Care Network Memorial Day Liturgy (1997,1998) Liturgical music coordinator. Served on core liturgy planning team both years.
  • Great Lakes Pastoral Ministry "Gathering" (1998, 1999, 2000) Worked on the execution of liturgical music for the conference's prayer services.

Special Projects, Performances and Affiliations


  • A Starry Night (April 2018) Flute/Clarinet/Alto Sax. Part of the on-stage orchestra for Northwestern University's Gala performance for the School of Communication featuring notable alumni from Broadway, Stage, and Film. Hosted by Stephen Colbert, the night also included performances by Heather Headley, Ana Gasteyer, Brian D'Arcy James, Craig Bierko, Stephanie D'Abruzzo.
  • Kiki Queens (2018-present) Music Direction. Non-profit, live-singing performance troupe benefiting local LGBT non-profits and outreach services.
  • A Christmas Carol: The Concert - PBS Special Production (Dec 2013) Piccolo.
  • GIA Publications: Performing and Recording Artist & Editor (February 1995-present) Editor for Gather - Third Edition. Flutist and woodwind artist on numerous liturgical music collections and demo recordings. Recently released solo CD entitled The Image and the Hope, a showcase of flute and keyboard music found in the GIA catalogue. Performing artist at many GIA sponsored events, workshops and showcases at conferences and conventions.
  • Office for Divine Worship Central Music Staff, Archdiocese of Chicago (1998-2012) Helped to coordinate and execute archdiocesan music events and music administration issues. Part of planning team and flutist for the Archdiocesan Millennium Mass held at Soldiers Field in June of 2000.
  • Siamsa N'agal: Old St. Pat's St. Patrick's Day musical celebration- Symphony Center, Chicago Featured soloist in 2000 and 2002 in Liam Lawton's The Shepherd Boy and Brigid of Kildare with the Metropolis Symphony Orchestra.
  • Workshop Presenter and Clinician (1995-present). Presents workshops for the National Association of Pastoral Musicians (NPM) and The National Flute Association (NFA). The Liturgical Flutist.
